Job summary

MN8 Energy, Inc. is seeking a Control Room Operator to manage 24×7 remote operations of our renewable fleet from the Dallas office. The role involves monitoring SCADA, coordinating with field crews, and ensuring compliance with NERC and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring a technical degree or equivalent experience, strong English communication, and familiarity with solar-related systems. This in-office, night-shift position offers benefits and growth opportunities in a fast-paced energy

Qualifications

• 2-Year technical degree, Military experience in a technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Operational knowledge of solar, storage, or EV charging.
• Knowledge of solar plant construction and equipment interactions.
• Fluent English (oral and written).
• Experience in SCADA, PLC, or plant control systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate sites per procedures and directives.
• Make decisions with financial impact.
• Coordinate with field personnel, grid operators, and customers.
• Ensure issues are documented in CMMS with proper tickets.
• Log regulatory calls, resets, and other CMMS tasks.
• Elevate issues to Performance Engineering when needed.
• Meet contractual performance, maintenance, and response targets.
• Support dispatched field personnel to ensure site response.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
