Job summary

Lumen is seeking an Operations Technician II to support PSCC customers in a remote, 24/7 environment. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving complex network issues and coordinating with NOC teams to sustain uptime.

The ideal candidate will have strong DWDM knowledge, fiber experience, and at least an associate degree with 3+ years in related work. The position requires swing/mid shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education.
• 3+ years related experience in network operations or a similar role.
• May require relevant technical certification.

Responsibilities

• Supports Network Operations Center and Repair activities for PSCC customers.
• Resolves complex network problems involving hardware, fiber, colo space and power.
• Uses software and hardware tools to diagnose network, hardware, and software issues for PSCC customers; performs complex monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Provides high quality communication to customers via Ticket System, Phone, Email, and IM/Chat; documents actions in the ticket system.
