Job summary

Lumen is seeking an Operations Technician II to support PSCC customers remotely from the United States. You will troubleshoot complex network issues, manage tickets, and coordinate with NOC teams in a 24/7 operating environment.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of DWDM equipment and experience with dark fiber and alarm systems, with a flexible swing/mid shift schedule including nights and weekends. Residency in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent education
3+ years related experience in network operations or similar field
Understanding of Optical DWDM Transport Equipment (Infinera, Alcatel/Nokia, Ciena 6500, Waveserver)
May require technical certification.

Responsibilities

Supports Network Operations Center and Repair activities for PSCC customers
Resolves complex network problems involving network hardware, fiber, colo space and power
Uses software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network, hardware, and software problems for PSCC customers; conducts complex network monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities
Provides high quality communication to customers via Ticket System, Phone, Email, and IM/Chat. Manage time efficiently and document all actions in the ticket system.
