Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams across plant operations, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance. You will ensure smooth production, minimize downtime, and drive KPI-driven performance, while upholding USDA compliance and safety standards.

Ideal candidates possess a engineering degree, 2+ years of relevant experience, and demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience leading training, coaching, or mentoring staff.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills for high-level process issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; willingness to work long hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Plan and schedule maintenance in collaboration with Production; develop TPM, SOPs, and safety processes.
• Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations and maintain records.
• Provide leadership development and coaching to staff; manage team performance.
