Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance mechanics and electricians across plant operations. You will oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment reliability, ensuring production lines run smoothly while complying with USDA regulations and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, plus strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (2+ years experience may be substituted).
Ability to train and mentor staff.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proficient with Microsoft Office; willingness to work long hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

Lead Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventative maintenance and repairs.
Plan and schedule maintenance in collaboration with Production; implement TPM and SOPs.
Develop KPIs for maintenance performance and report status to management.
Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations and maintain records.
Provide leadership and coaching to build a positive team culture.
