Job summary

American Store & Lock, part of Universal Storage Group, seeks a Relief Manager to join a fast-paced self-storage environment in Charlotte. You will participate in a four-phase training program with USG Certified Trainers covering sales, operations, auctions, and marketing to deliver superb client solutions.

As a Relief Manager you’ll wear many hats—sales, customer service, marketing, and admin—and contribute to daily cash handling, unit maintenance, and event-driven outreach.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Successful completion of background check.
• Successful completion of drug screen.
• Attitude and aptitude testing required.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers with a smile and handshake.
• Help customers determine best unit size for rentals.
• Complete rental paperwork accurately.
• Perform facility Walk Thru and lock checks.
• Post payments received on day of receipt.
• Track past due accounts and follow up.
• Maintain customer records and notes.
• Make daily bank deposits and post receipts.
• Execute monthly marketing activities (calls, visits, emails, events).
• Maintain merchandise and keep units and grounds clean.
