Job summary

PAQ, Inc. is hiring for a Manager, Relief to ensure smooth front-end operations at the PAQ, Inc store location. You will supervise Combo Clerks, handle customer inquiries, and oversee cash handling and POS transactions with a focus on accuracy and service.

Role requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years cashier experience, with availability for weekends/evenings and strong knowledge of promotions and store policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 2+ years as cashier preferred; retail experience a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work weekends/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and helpful customer service, resolving concerns with supervisor guidance as needed.
• Assist customers with inquiries using store layout and product knowledge.
• Supervise Combo Clerks: assign duties, schedule breaks, provide training.
• Count cashiers at shift start and end; process transactions including cash, checks, and cards.
• Oversee returns, discounts, and register errors; assist SCO operations.
• Ensure alcohol sales comply with California law and check IDs appropriately.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of promotions and store policies.
• Report unsafe conditions and ensure a safe store environment.
