Job summary

ST. CHARLES HEALTH SYSTEM is seeking a Part-time Patient Access Representative (Relief) in Prineville, OR.

You will register patients for medical services, collect co-pays, and assist with financial counseling while supporting multiple computer programs and ensuring accurate data entry. The role requires strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to handle emotional interactions with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and basic PC/Windows skills.
• Preferred college courses in medical terminology and general/medical office practice experience.
• One year of customer service experience and data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for medical services and collect required information for billing.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles from patients and assist with financial counseling as needed.
• Back up Financial Counseling staff to take payments and provide financial assistance information.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all laws, policies, and procedures.
