Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation in Redmond, WA is seeking a Relief Manager to lead the store in the absence of the Store Manager and deliver top-notch customer service. You will train new associates, direct sales staff, and ensure merchandising and policy compliance on the sales floor.

Ideal candidates bring solid customer service experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and a passion for sports.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalency.
• Flexible scheduling and ability to lift light to moderate.
• Customer service or retail experience is a plus.
• Basic math and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers throughout the store.
• Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
• Recommend products and suggest add-on sales.
• Merchandising and compliance with company policies.
• Opening and closing of the store.
• Training newly hired associates.
• Directing sales and cashier associates throughout the store.
• Inventory control and loss prevention enforcement.
• Perform or may perform additional duties as assigned by management.
