Job summary

Quarriers in Dumfries and surrounding areas is seeking a Relief Family Support Worker to help children with disabilities, young people and families with practical and emotional support.

The role offers flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, and requires driver with own vehicle. Salary is £13.45 per hour for a part-time relief contract; opportunities exist in Dumfries, Stranraer, Annan and nearby towns.

The Vacancy

We’re looking for enthusiastic, compassionate people to join our Dumfries & Galloway Family Support Service as a Relief Family Support Worker. You’ll support children with disabilities, young people and families with practical, emotional and holistic help that makes a real difference.

We have opportunities in Dumfries, Stranraer, Annan, Lockerbie, Newton Stewart, Castle Douglas, Dalbeattie, Creetown and Sanquhar.

No two days are the same. One day you might help a young person build confidence through activities; the next, you could be shaping outcome plans that help them thrive. Every day, your work will matter.

Relief posts

Flexible shifts that fit around other commitments

Evenings from 3:30pm until 8:30pm

Weekends- 3-to-5 hour shifts on Saturdays & Sundays
