Job summary

Keyfort Group is recruiting for a caring, dedicated support worker to join a team caring for a bright 11-year-old boy with quadriplegic cerebral palsy in Carlisle. The role requires 1:1 support, including overnight care, with full training provided by our Nursing team.

You will work within a close-knit team to deliver comprehensive care across day and night shifts, with emphasis on safety and family involvement.

Qualifications

• Nursing care including PEG feeding and oxygen therapy.
• Personal care.
• Medication administration.

Job description

Location; Carlisle (Cargo), CA6

Minimum of 24 Hrs per week (Combination of Days and Nights)

£14.50 to £15.00 per hour

Session times are 07:30 to 19:30 (Day) and 19:30 to 07:30 (Waking Night)

Driver Required due to remote location of the clients home.

Flexible to complete 1 waking night and 1 day shift

We are looking to add an additional team member to an established support team for a support a bright and joyful 11-year-old boy living in Carlisle with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He lives at home with his family, including four other siblings, and requires 1:1 support 24/7, including overnight care. Full Training Provided. This is more than a job, it’s a chance to make a genuine difference to his, and his family’s life, while becoming part of a close-knit, supportive environment.

About the Role

We are looking for female staff (due to the family setting) to join his team. This young person has complex care needs but we employ our own Nursing team who will give you full training and you won’t work solo until you are fully competent. You will join a dedicated, friendly and committed support team to support him to live a full life including:

• Nursing care including PEG feeding and oxygen therapy
• Personal care
• Medication administration
• Physiotherapy and attending medical appointments
• Support with communication, community access, attending school and holidays
• Being part of family outings, hospital stays, and emergency situations where needed
• Shifts are 12 hours, covering both days and waking nights.

About the young boy we support; He is full of life and enjoys being out and about with his support team and family.
