Veterinary Emergency Group seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our frontline ER team in Oak Brook, IL. You’ll perform triage, emergency nursing, diagnostics, anesthesia support, and critical care nursing alongside veterinarians while supporting pet parents with empathy.

Ideal candidates hold a AVMA‑accredited VT program, are credentialed (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT), and have 1+ year in veterinary tech, preferably in emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA‑accredited program preferred.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician; emergency/spécialty preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of VEG practice.

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat emergency patients, supporting doctors and the team.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, diagnostics, and monitoring.
• Assist anesthesia, x-ray, sample collection, and critical care tasks.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and pet parents throughout care.
• Perform CPR and utilize advanced techniques as needed.
• Maintain equipment and manage clinical workflow efficiently.
