Job summary

Principal Financial Group in Minnesota is seeking a Relationship Manager II/III to develop deep relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators in the 10M - 200M market. The role is a strategic partner to provide solutions for retention, growth, and retirement readiness, with the option to work from home when not meeting clients.

The position requires 4+ years in retirement, Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and travel about 10% with some overnight trips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years retirement industry experience.
• Must become an associated person of Principal Securities, Inc.
• Qualified Plan knowledge strongly preferred (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution).
• Excellent demonstrated leadership, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills required, as well as superior interpersonal, analytical, and oral and written communication skills.
• Must be assertive and entrepreneurial.
• Travel required (approx. 10%), mostly day travel but there will be some overnight travel as well.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the plan sponsor and the advisor on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, services and new opportunities.
• Plan level health reviews.
