Job summary

C&F Bank is seeking a Professional Teller to manage customer transactions and build lasting relationships through the C&F Customer Experience. You’ll represent our brand, assist with transactions, and identify needs to guide customers to the right solutions.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to travel to different branches for staffing and training. You’ll support team goals and uphold risk and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of teller or cash handling experience.
• One year of customer relationship building experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to travel to other branches within a geographic region for staffing and training.

Responsibilities

• Review customer accounts to make appropriate decisions regarding the requested transaction.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently; follow all transaction policies and procedures, particularly deposit hold procedures.
• Take ownership of operational risk management tasks as delegated by Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, or Teller Manager.
• Adheres to the Bank’s information security policies and manages customer and Bank information appropriately.
• Role models all aspects of C&F’s “Focused on You” brand.
• Make personal connections, engage, and educate customers to build trust and relationships.
• Refer customers to the appropriate business partner to share solutions via the Relationship Review.
• Drive performance metrics in line with company objectives.
• Provide fill-in staffing to other market branches as needed.
• Participates in daily huddles and team meetings.
