Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a Financial Relationship Banker to join our Detroit-area branch network. You will retain and grow consumer and business customer relationships by proactively identifying financial goals and recommending deposit, loan and other banking products and services.

This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service, expanding opportunities through referrals, and helping customers use online, mobile, and ATM banking.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of customer service and sales in banking or financial services.
• Bachelor's degree preferred with 1+ year in customer service and sales in banking.
• Ability to build, deepen and retain relationships.
• Demonstrates knowledge of banking products, services and technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
• Proactively identifies opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, referrals and a disciplined sales process.
• Educating customers and referring them to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships.
• Educating customers on how to optimize online, mobile and ATM banking.
• Maintaining knowledge of products, services, technology and policies.
• Adhering to operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
