Job summary

NBT Bank seeks a Relationship Banking Associate to deliver high-quality customer service and responsive support to both internal and external customers. You will handle routine transactions accurately, follow policy and procedures, and refer sales opportunities to the right partners to fulfill customer needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in related banking positions or equivalent sales/customer service experience.
• Excellent listening & communication skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs and opportunities.
• Organizational, interpersonal and customer relations skills with problem solving.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Process routine transactions and account servicing with accuracy and efficiency including teller transactions and daily vault balancing.
• Identify customer opportunities through conversations; refer to business partners and conduct sales calls.
• Participate in community events per CRA.
• Other duties as assigned.
