Job summary

Citizens Bank is seeking a personable Banking Associate to be the friendly face of the branch, building lasting relationships and delivering trusted financial guidance. You’ll help customers with everyday transactions while spotting opportunities for tailored solutions.

You’ll also promote digital banking tools and collaborate with partners across Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals.
• Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship.
• Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions.
• Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals.
• Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues.
• Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
• Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
• Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide trusted financial advice to customers and help with everyday banking needs.
• Assist customers with accounts, products, and services through in-person and phone interactions.
• Collaborate with internal partners to address complex financial needs (Wealth Management, Mortgage, Business Banking).
• Promote digital and mobile banking tools and educate customers on their use.
• Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkups.
