Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker in Monterey, CA to build strong client relationships by meeting face to face and advising on the best bank products and services.

You will open accounts, process basic transactions, and guide customers toward digital tools while delivering exceptional service. The role requires knowledge of consumer and business banking products, strong communication, and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically has less than four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training.
• Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients.
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems.
• Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies.
• Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset.
• Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively.
• Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
