Cathay Bank is seeking a customer-focused assistant to open new accounts, cross-sell bank products, and resolve customer service issues. You will process teller transactions and support operations while following regulatory and security procedures.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and reliability, with additional responsibilities in maintaining confidentiality and aiding bank partners. Weekend and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• College degree in business, accounting or finance preferred, but not required.
• 1-2 years of cash handling, customer service in a retail environment, or sales experience required.
• Minimum 1 year new accounts, sales experience, or relevant banking experience, preferred.
• Motivated to consistently provide our customers with excellent service and help them achieve their financial goals.
• PC literate and typing proficient. Data entry, 10-key, banking software, and Microsoft Office familiarity a plus.
• Detail-oriented and organized – can multi-task, work well under pressure and follow through on commitments.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills – build trust and relationships.
• Able and willing to commute as required for business needs.

Responsabilités

• Open new accounts and process teller transactions with accuracy.
• Cross-sell bank products/services and refer customers to other areas of the bank.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues.
• Follow bank regulations and security procedures to minimize risk.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
• Assist with problem resolution and daily operations.
