Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks a customer-focused Teller to deliver an industry-leading service experience in-branch and by phone, while developing new and existing client relationships through consultative conversations and referrals.

The role includes cross-training to perform teller duties as needed, handling routine maintenance and contributing to sales targets, with a focus on compliance and exceptional service quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment and pass NMLS background check.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs and occasional travel/overnights.

Responsibilities

• Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines.
• Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service as well as branch sales targets by offering products and services to develop and retain relationships.
• Supports team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring complex needs to internal specialists.
• Participates in all components of Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
• Advances knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through trainings and meetings.
• Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
• Adheres to internal controls and risk management policies to ensure compliance.
• Engages clients with courteous service during transactions and helps navigate branch.
