Job summary

Truist is seeking a Regular, full-time Retail Banking Associate to deliver an industry-leading client service experience in person and by phone, while developing and expanding client relationships with thoughtful financial solutions. The role includes cross-training to perform teller duties when needed, contributing to branch sales targets, and coordinating with internal specialists to address goals, with adherence to policies and risk controls.

Some weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of client sales and service experience
• Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
• Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs and locale changes
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights

Responsibilities

• Exhibits advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests and sales functions across deposit, credit, and service lines
• Contributes to meeting branch sales targets by developing, expanding and retaining relationships
• Supports sales process by consulting with clients and referring complex needs to internal specialists
• Participates in branch leadership routines and trainings
• Advices on consumer lending options and takes loan applications
• Adheres to internal controls and risk management policies while staying updated on policy changes
• Delivers consistent client service by engaging with clients during transactions and helping them navigate the branch
