Job summary

Truist is seeking a Universal Banker in Frederick, MD to provide timely, accurate processing of client transactions and deliver superior service. You will educate clients on digital banking, support outbound sales, and participate in IRM initiatives while maintaining strong records and compliance.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, reliability in multi-tasking, and flexibility to travel or work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience.
• Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Ability to master PC keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included.

Responsibilities

• Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients and conducting complex and standardized transactions.
• Educate clients on digital self-service solutions (ATMs, Online/Mobile banking).
• Support sales by outbound client outreach and identifying needs or opportunities.
• Understand Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist solutions.
• Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Attend training to advance product knowledge and serve clients effectively.
• Adhere to internal controls and risk management policies; stay updated on changes.
• Serve as secondary contact for new accounts and problem resolution; handle branch demands.
