Job summary

First Horizon Bank is seeking a customer-focused Universal Banker in Durham, NC. You will engage clients in consultative conversations to understand financial priorities and offer deposit, loan products, and referrals across bank lines.

You will support teller functions to minimize wait times, deliver exceptional service, and participate in ongoing product knowledge training to enhance client relationships and drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients in consultative conversations to understand financial priorities and recommend banking solutions.
• Identify deposit and borrowing needs and guide loan applications.
• Provide personalized financial advice aligned with clients’ short- and long-term goals.
• Refer clients to mortgage, wealth, private client, and business banking as appropriate.
• Conduct regular outreach to offer tailored financial solutions.
• Support a high-performing sales culture by coaching associates on sales and referrals.
• Assist teller line to minimize client wait times and process transactions.
• Attend sales, service, and product knowledge meetings and trainings to stay informed.
• Ensure compliance with bank regulations and internal controls.
• Participate in on-the-job training of new associates.
• Support vault controls and audit procedures.
• Stay updated on operational changes and apply them accordingly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
