Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in teller, banker, or retail banking is required.
• Cash handling experience of at least 6 months.
• Proficient with technology and digital banking services (tablets, smartphones, Microsoft Office).
• Excellent customer service, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class customer experience by processing transactions and opening new accounts promptly.
• Perform tasks within authority to deliver high service levels to customers.
• Engage customers with financial conversations to identify banking needs and match BankNewport solutions.
• Meet branch sales goals via proactive interactions, prospecting, and community activities.
• Market a full range of consumer and small business banking services to customers and prospects.
• Open accounts, originate and close loans, and handle account maintenance and inquiries.
• Utilize CRM and onboarding processes to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Address customer problems with resources and follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
• Advise customers on digital channels and services including mobile banking and Zelle.
• Adhere to bank policies, procedures, audits, and regulatory guidelines.
