Job summary

Hudson Valley Credit Union is seeking a Relationship Advisor in New York to deliver top-tier member service while processing transactions efficiently. You will engage members with a consultative needs-based sales approach to establish and deepen relationships, cross-selling financial products and services.

The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and teamwork, with training on HVCU products and a focus on meeting or exceeding sales and service targets in a branch setting.

Qualifications

• HighSchool Diploma or GED or equivalent; current senior in good standing may apply.
• NYS Notary Public license within 12 months of hire is required.
• Registration with the NMLS is required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service and sales experience in a financial institution or retail environment is required.
• Previous teller or cash handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately and educate members on channels (branch, Internet Banking, mobile app, audio response, Contact Center).
• Handle large volumes of cash and negotiable items; assist with daily branch operations.
• Open new memberships, accounts, loans, and process related transactions; refer members to partners as needed.
• Cross-sell products and services per Sales and Service model; support marketing promotions.
• Learn products/services and train new Universal Branch Associates as needed.
• Meet/exceed individual and team goals through consistent sales/service practices.
