Job summary

U.S. Bank in the United States seeks a Client Relationship Consultant to build trusted relationships with customers across in-person, by appointment, and virtual channels.

You’ll assess banking needs, explain products, and guide clients toward digital-first solutions while maintaining a high standard of service. You’ll work with branch teams to open accounts, process requests, and support customers’ financial goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Typically 3–4 years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
• Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
• Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
• Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
• Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
• Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset
• Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively
• Experience in the financial services industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage clients via in-person, appointment, and virtual channels to provide financial guidance.
• Educate customers on available deposit and loan products and services.
• Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
• Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members to best serve clients.
• Proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to help meet needs.
