Job summary

Hylant is seeking a Captive Reinsurance Accountant in Massachusetts to support evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and relationships with reinsurers. You will ensure compliance, contribute to insightful reports, and collaborate across internal stakeholders.

This role emphasizes accuracy, process improvement, and timely communication, with opportunities to engage in training and Travel for meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in reinsurance accounting, insurance or similar financial area.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical, financial accounting of premium, claim and reserves based on statements of accounts or bordereaux.
• Review and analyze reinsurance contracts to ensure adherence to policies and guidelines.
• Manage processing and settlement of reinsurance claims with accuracy and efficiency.
• Generate reinsurance reports and conduct analysis to support decision‑making.
