Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a Reimbursement Coordinator to obtain referrals and prior authorizations, schedule surgical procedures, and manage patient check-in. You will act as a liaison among patients, providers, and insurance entities, ensuring accurate communication and documentation.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, healthcare experience, and proficiency with medical terminology and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of healthcare experience or related experience preferred.
• Experience with providers and insurance for prior authorization preferred.
• Scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures preferred.
• Excellent computer, multi-tasking, and communication skills.

Performs all scheduling of surgical procedures; answering, directing and prioritizing telephone calls appropriately; effective communication; and clerical duties as assigned. Greets, instructs, directs, schedules, registers, and performs check-in duties for patients. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical support staff. Establish and maintain a positive attitude with patients, visitors, and fellow employees by helping each other in areas when needed. Demonstrates knowledge of the age-specific competencies and the skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age and demographic served.**Qualifications**: High School Diploma or equivalent.
