Silver Cross Hospital is seeking an organized scheduling specialist to coordinate referrals and prior authorizations, schedule surgical procedures, and manage front-desk duties. You will greet and register patients, handle telephone inquiries, and liaise with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifikationen

Summary:

Works with providers, staff, patients, referring physicians and insurance companies to obtain the appropriate referrals and prior authorizations for necessary treatment for the patient. Performs all scheduling of surgical procedures; answering, directing and prioritizing telephone calls appropriately; effective communication; and clerical duties as assigned. Greets, instructs, directs, schedules, registers, and performs check-in duties for patients. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical support staff. Establish and maintain a positive attitude with patients, visitors, and fellow employees by helping each other in areas when needed. Demonstrates knowledge of the age-specific competencies and the skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age and demographic served.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years of healthcare experience or other related experience preferred. Experience working with providers and insurance companies to receive prior authorization. Candidates with previous scheduling experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures strongly preferred. Must have excellent computer skills and the ability to multi-task. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prefer 3 years work experience, preferably in medical office setting or hospital. Microsoft Office experience such as Outlook, Word, Excel; preferably experience on an electronic medical record.

Salary:

The expected pay for this position is listed below: $17.99 - $22.48 The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
