Job summary

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to assist therapists in providing patient care across age groups in our hospital setting. This role supports daily treatment procedures and prepares treatment areas under supervision.

You will help with patient transfers, registration, and scheduling, maintaining a clean, safe environment while delivering friendly, patient-centered service that aligns with Mercy's mission and values.

Qualifications

• One year experience or education in therapies preferred
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with performing patient care duties for patients of all ages
• Assist with the registration and scheduling process of patients
• Transfer patients to and from the Rehab Therapy Gym
• Enter charges and prepare treatment areas as directed by therapists
• Assist with treatment procedures/modalities according to departmental policies
• Greet patients and visitors and notify therapists of arrival
• Perform receptionist duties, scheduling, filing and transportation as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area according to department procedures
