Job summary

Mercy seeks a patient care assistant to support therapists in providing treatment to patients of all ages. You will assist with the registration and scheduling process, transfer patients within the Rehab Therapy Gym, and help prepare treatment areas under the supervision of staff therapists.

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work well with others, and flexibility to perform a variety of duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; one year experience or education in therapies preferred.
• Genuine ability to perform patient care duties with patients of all ages while adhering to departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with patient care duties for patients of all ages.
• Assist with registration and scheduling process of patients.
• Transfer patients to and from the Rehab Therapy Gym.
• Prepare treatment areas and assist with treatment procedures as directed by therapists.
• Perform reception duties, schedule appointments, file paperwork, and assist with transportation for patients as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and greet patients and visitors courteously.
