Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Rehab Aide to support therapists in a busy rehabilitation department. You will assist with patient care across all ages, help register and schedule patients, and transport them to the Rehab Therapy Gym as needed.

You will also prepare treatment areas and assist with procedures under therapist direction. The role emphasizes strong communication, reliable teamwork, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience or education in therapies preferred.
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with patient care duties for patients of all ages.
• Assist with registration and scheduling of patients.
• Transfer patients to and from the Rehab Therapy Gym.
• Prepare treatment areas and assist with procedures as directed by therapists.
• Clean and prepare treatment areas; assist with appointments and filing.
• Occasionally perform receptionist duties and transport patients as needed.
• Provide safe transportation to and from the department per safety guidelines.
• Greet patients and visitors and notify therapists on arrival.
