Job summary

Mercy is seeking a compassionate support team member to assist physical therapists and care for patients of all ages. You will help with registration, scheduling, patient transports, and preparing treatment areas under supervision.

The role emphasizes teamwork, initiative, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities include assisting therapists with procedures, maintaining clean, organized treatment spaces, and occasionally performing receptionist duties.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent human relation skills and ability to interact with patients.
• Experience or education in therapies preferred.
• Able to greet patients and visitors courteously and coordinate with therapists, nurses and staff.
• Willingness to perform a variety of duties and assist with treatment procedures as directed.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists by preparing treatment areas and performing delegated procedures.
• Assist with patient registration and scheduling processes.
• Transfer patients to and from the Rehab Therapy Gym.
• Enter charges and maintain department records.
• Perform receptionist duties and help with appointment scheduling as needed.
• Provide safe transportation of patients to and from the department.
