Job summary

Mercy in Oklahoma is seeking a patient care assistant to support therapists and care for patients of all ages. Under the supervision of the Physical Therapy Supervisor, you will handle registration, scheduling, and prepare treatment areas to facilitate therapy sessions.

You will transfer patients to the Rehab Therapy Gym, assist with treatment procedures, and maintain safety and cleanliness while providing courteous, professional service.

Qualifications

• One year experience or education in therapies preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Assists therapists with patient care duties for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Entering charges and preparing treatment areas as directed.
• Assists with treatment procedures under therapist supervision.
• Transfers patients to and from the Rehab Therapy Gym.
• Greet patients and visitors and notify therapists on arrival.
• Provide safe transportation of patients per department policies.
• Occasionally perform receptionist duties and assist with scheduling and filing.
