Job summary

Mercy is seeking an energetic Patient Care Assistant to support therapists in the Oklahoma City facility. Under supervision, you will assist with patient care, registration, scheduling, and preparing treatment areas.

You will help move patients to and from the Rehab Therapy Gym and maintain safety and cleanliness. You will greet patients, coordinate with nurses and therapists, and perform assigned tasks with initiative, all while upholding Mercy's mission and values.

Qualifications

• One year experience or education in therapies preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good human relations and communication with patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the registration and scheduling process of patients.
• Perform patient care duties with patients of all ages within departmental policies and procedures while under the direction of staff therapists.
• Responsible for transferring patients to and from the Rehab Therapy Gym.
• Assist therapists and other staff with treatment procedures as directed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and prepare treatment areas; transportation and transfer activities for patients.
