Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Rehab Tech/Admin Specialist to support therapists and the business office in a fast-paced rehabilitation services department. This non-licensed staff member assists with patient care tasks not requiring clinical decision-making and performs clerical duties to keep operations running smoothly.

The role includes scheduling, patient check-in/out, documentation, and coordination with multiple departments to ensure quality patient care across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) within 90 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional staff with patient care tasks that do not require clinical decision making by a therapist.
• Supports business office with clerical and maintenance duties in rehabilitation services.
• Schedules, confirms, and reschedules patient visits at Rehabilitation Services and satellite locations.
• Collects co-payments and processes billing information; posts payments and closes cash drawer at end of day.
• Communicates patient status and needs to therapists promptly and documents appropriately.
• Coordinate with other departments for an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
