Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Rehab Tech/Admin Specialist to support licensed clinicians in patient care and to handle clerical and maintenance duties within the Rehabilitation Services department. This non-licensed role assists with business office tasks and patient flow across the rehab sites.

The position emphasizes adherence to safety, documentation, and communication guidelines while supporting therapists and ensuring smooth operations in a dynamic healthcare

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• BLS Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard precautions and Northwestern Medicine infection control policies and procedures consistently.
• Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly, cleans equipment according to standards.
• Independently maintains all equipment cleaning logs and performs monthly maintenance.
• Ensures EOC meets JCAHO standards at all times.
• Demonstrates competence in performing tasks identified as appropriate treatment for the Rehab Services Tech.
• Communicates with patients and guests including greeting them upon arrival and providing necessary visit information.
• Schedules, confirms, and reschedules patients for visits at Rehabilitation Services and its satellite locations.
• Collects co-payments and processes payments; posts payments and performs end-of-day cash closing.
