Job summary

Edwards County Medical Center seeks a Receptionist/CNA/Rehabilitation Aide to provide front-line administrative and patient care support in the Rehabilitation Department and Specialty Clinic.

You will pre-register patients, verify insurance, assist with check-in, and support therapists. Strong HIPAA knowledge, organization, and communicating with diverse staff are essential for delivering high patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA certification is required.
• Experience in a medical office, rehabilitation, or specialty clinic is preferred.
• Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, and clerical duties is preferred.
• Experience with Tru Bridge, Epic, Cerner, Meditech is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Direct patients and notify staff upon arrival.
• Answer phone calls for Rehabilitation Clinic and Specialty Clinics.
• Assist patients in and out of the facility as needed.
• Escort patients to appropriate areas, including ER patients if needed.
• Provide service recovery when necessary.
• Acquire vitals and blood sugar checks.
• Maintain and monitor supplies and ensure expiration dates.
• Scan documents into EMR and manage payments.
