Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Patient Access Representative to provide scheduling coverage for Hadley Rehabilitation and other off-site locations as needed. This 40-hour week role handles admissions, cashiering, pre-certification verification, and patient information in EMR, reporting to the Patient Access Services Supervisor.

Responsibilities include collecting demographics, resolving billing issues, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years administrative and in-person customer service experience required, preferably in a health care setting; patient access services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families professionally and welcomingly.
• Verify insurance coverage and pre-authorization requirements.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance info into EMR.
• Collect signatures for consent and authorization forms.
• Resolve insurance and billing-related issues and maintain documentation.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support department goals.
