Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Rehabilitation Nurse Technician to support the interdisciplinary rehabilitation care team in a fast-paced setting. You will assist adults and children with daily activities, data collection, and therapy readiness while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires CNA certification or RN student status with clinical rotations, CPR certification, and the ability to adapt to an evolving care environment.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or student RN with clinical rotations.
• CPR certification required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work in a changing environment and 12-lead EKG competency within 6 months of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Collects and reports physiological, psychological, and functional data.
• Assists with activities of daily living and personal hygiene to promote independence.
• Performs skin care and reports changes in skin integrity.
• Assists with bladder and bowel programs and catheter/ostomy care as directed.
• Obtains vital signs and communicates abnormal values to RN.
• Assists transfers and mobility within safety guidelines.
• Assists with prosthetics/orthoses and meal assistance as ordered.
• Answers patient call lights and ensures timely care.
• Prepares patient rooms, conducts weekly weights, and assists with lab specimen collection.
• Participates in CPR and bedside handoffs; supports infection control and safety.
