Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Rehabilitation Nurse Technician (RNT) for 12-hour shifts at 0.6 FTE. You will support the rehab care team with daily living activities, mobility, and complex patient needs under RN supervision, including 12-lead EKG and data collection for quality projects.

Required CNA, current CPR, and ability to work in a dynamic rehab setting with adults and children.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Current Nursing Assistant certification (C.N.A.) is required or enrollment in an RN program with two clinical rotations completed.
• CPR certification must be current.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and provide high level customer service.
• Understanding and support of Northwestern Medicine’s Mission and Values.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing environment.

Aufgaben

• Collects and reports pertinent data based on patient plan or need.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility, promoting independence.
• Perform skin care and report changes in skin integrity to RN.
• Assist bladder and bowel programs and catheter care as directed by RN.
• Record vital signs and communicate distress signals to RN.
• Assist transfers and ambulation following safe patient handling guidelines.
• Assist with prosthetics/orthoses and assistive devices as per plan.
• Assist with meal trays and dietary needs, including calorie counts.
