Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Rehabilitation Nurse Technician (RNT) to join the inpatient rehab team. The role supports adults and children with complex disabilities under RN supervision, assisting with ADLs, mobility, skin and bowel/bladder programs, and data collection for quality projects.

Shifts are 8 hours with 0.8 full-time equivalent, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and report vital signs and functional data as per patient care plan.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility to promote independence.
• Perform preventive skin care and report changes to RN.
• Assist with bladder and bowel training and catheter care as directed by RN.
• Document intake/output and nutrition details, including calorie counts when ordered.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and use of assistive devices per safety guidelines.
• Assist with prosthetics/orthoses and adaptation per plan of care.
• Assist with meal selection and tray delivery, ensuring diets are accurate.
