Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse with accredited nursing education.
• Experience in long-term care/rehab preferred.
• Current LPN license in the state of employment.
• IV Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• CPR/AED Certification current or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Able to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents.
• Excellent communication with residents, visitors, and staff.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates critical thinking in care planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assess residents on admission and ongoing basis.
• Communicate changes in condition to the IDT and document assessments.
• Participate in care planning and update care plans as interventions change.
• Administer medications and treatments safely; IV care if certified.
• Accurately document interventions and use SBARR for physician communication.
• Assist residents with ADLs and respond to call lights.
• Engage in continuing education and stay current with Bethesda policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
