Job summary

Bethesda Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide basic nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. You will assess residents, document care plans, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team and families.

The role requires an active LPN license, IV and CPR/AED certifications (or willingness to obtain within six months), and strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current license in the state you will be working as an LPN.
• IV Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Current CPR/AED Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Must be able to assess the basic nursing care needs of the geriatric resident.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist in resident assessment on admission and ongoing basis.
• Communicate significant changes in condition to the IDT and residents/families.
• Document assessments accurately and timely; update care plan as interventions change.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and timely; follow physician orders and nursing interventions.
• Respond to call lights and assist with Residents' ADLs as needed; participate in QAPI for continuous improvement.
