Bethesda seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide basic nursing care for residents in a long-term care/rehab setting. You will assess residents at admission and ongoing, document findings, and communicate changes to the IDT.

You’ll participate in care planning, administer medications and IV fluids if certified, and ensure timely physician notification when needed. Requirements include an LPN license, state licensure, IV and CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within six months, and

Formación

• Education from an accredited school of nursing that results in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Long-term care/Rehab/Assisted Living experience preferred
• Current license in the state you will be working as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• IV Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
• Current CPR/AED Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
• Must be able to assess the basic nursing care needs of the geriatric resident
• Must possess excellent communication skills to interact with residents, visitors and staff
• Excellent time management and organizational skills are required
• Must possess critical thinking skills

Responsabilidades

• Provides basic nursing care by assessing residents on admission and on an ongoing basis
• Communicates significant changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team
• Documents assessments accurately and timely
• Participates in the care planning process and updates the plan of care
• Delivers nursing interventions including medication administration and treatments
• Administers IV fluid only if IV certified
• Notifies physician timely using SBARR
• Answers call lights and assists with residents' ADLs
• Keeps current with Bethesda policies and participates in continuing education
