Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin’s West Bend outpatient rehabilitation department is seeking a full-time Rehabilitation Support Aide to assist licensed therapists during patient care. You will help with positioning, transfers, setup of modalities, and guided patient exercises under supervision.

The role also covers registration, scheduling, billing, and coordinating with physicians and other offices to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in health care, public relations or health care education.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills including Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supports the efficiency of the Licensed Therapy Provider and the smooth functioning of the rehabilitation department. Direct patient contact activities under supervision, such as patient positioning and transfers, setup of therapeutic modalities, and assisting with exercises.
• Improves therapist efficiency by starting treatments when patients overlap and using problem-solving strategies.
• Communicates with patients and therapists, anticipates needs, and conveys concerns or changes to the therapist.
• Performs registration, scheduling, cashiering, admitting and follow-up of patients to ensure efficient care; coordinates with other offices as needed.
• Performs reception/clerical duties including phones, messages, greeting, scheduling, billing, and filing.
