Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a full-time Rehabilitation Support staff for the West Bend Outpatient Rehabilitation department. Schedule is 34 hours per week with a closing shift, Monday–Friday, no weekends or holidays.

You will assist licensed therapists with patient care, manage registration and clerical duties, stock equipment, and help maintain a safe, efficient rehab environment. Requires a high school diploma and 1 year healthcare experience; BLS within 6 months.

• Intermediate computer skills including experience with word processing, spreadsheet software, data entry and keyboarding.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient contact under the licensed provider, including positioning, transfers, modalities, and assisted exercises.
• Improve therapist efficiency by starting treatments during overlaps and applying problem-solving strategies.
• Communicate with patients and therapists; convey concerns and status changes to the therapist.
• Handle registration, scheduling, cashiering, admitting, and follow-up; coordinate appointments.
• Reception/clerical duties: phones, messages, scheduling, billing, mail, and records.
• Review therapy orders in the EMR and route patients appropriately.
• Maintain department files, process billing forms, and handle authorizations and reauthorizations.
• Monitor therapy environment to meet patient experience standards.
• Order, stock, and organize equipment; manage linens and office supplies; troubleshoot equipment.
• Clean and disinfect gym/treatment areas; perform routine maintenance and safety checks.
