Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) – Long Island Rail Road seeks an Engineer Regulatory Standards and Operational Oversight to lead FRA/LIRR testing compliance and risk mitigation across engineering assets.

You will guide policy changes, coordinate incident investigations, and support weather/ Extreme event policy development, reporting to senior management while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Business; an additional four years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• Minimum 8 years progressively responsible railroad engineering experience.
• Minimum 4 years of supervisory or management experience.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, manage, coordinate, and evaluate an audit and validation plan for FRA/LIRR required asset testing.
• Develop testing procedures and manuals; coordinate with field personnel and training.
• Lead multi-division investigative teams for engineering system failures and derailments.
• Serve as Principal Engineer advisor on FRA/LIRR test requirements and liaise with safety and outside agencies.
• Support weather and extreme event policy development, planning, implementation, and execution.
