Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Regulatory Change Assurance Specialist to lead design and execution of assurance reviews across the regulatory change lifecycle. The role combines assurance leadership with program management to mature and scale the Regulatory Change Assurance function.

You will coordinate responses to regulators and auditors, maintain methodologies, and drive continuous improvement across GRCM processes and controls. Strong regulatory and project management experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute regulatory change assurance reviews across the organization, assessing the design and implementation of responses to new or amended laws, rules, and regulations.
• Provide thought leadership in the development and execution of the Regulatory Change Assurance Methodology, including quality assurance assessments of GRCM-owned controls and processes, and remediation initiatives.
• Apply a risk-based approach to evaluating regulatory change implementation activities and control environments.
• Manage multiple assurance projects, including scoping, planning, execution, reporting, and remediation verification.
• Engage with business, compliance, risk, and executive stakeholders to assess regulatory compliance risks and emerging concerns.
• Monitor assurance observations and track closure of recommendations.
• Lead or participate in governance forums to identify trends and improve practices.
• Evaluate changes to processes and technology platforms to ensure fitness for purpose.
