Job summary

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in Jefferson City seeks a Healthcare Support Programs Unit Supervisor within the Division of Regulation and Licensure.

You will provide administrative oversight to the Certificate of Need program and to the Supplemental Health Care Agency program, including registration applications and fee collection from agencies supplying nursing and other staff to facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to learn new software and administrative processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and initiative when collaborating with leadership, staff, industry, and stakeholders.
• Effective leadership skills promoting customer service and staff development.
• Two to four years of relevant regulatory compliance, investigations, or auditing experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all regulatory processes for the program, including coordinating inspection activity.
• Initiate disciplinary action on licensees or registrants as necessary.
• Make recommendations on inspections, non-compliance citations, and corrective plans.
• Exercise independence and initiative in performance of responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
